今年春の東日本大震災を受け、阪神淡路大震災を乗り越えてきた関西から発信しようと、大阪城ホールと仙台の会場を中継で結び12月4日開催されたという事です。\r
指揮は今年で13回目のマエストロ佐渡裕氏。一万人の合唱団は一般公募で各地から募集されました。\r

毎年クリスマスの時期に開催する｢クリスマス・スペシャル・クラシックス｣公演を楽しみにされている皆様へ、過去の公演より“ハレルヤ・コーラス”をYouTubeにてお届けします！今年の開催は叶いませんでしたが、管弦楽と合唱団が織りなすハーモニーをぜひ映像でお楽しみください！
“ハレルヤ・コーラス”
ヘンデルのオラトリオ「メサイア」の中の1曲。オラトリオとはバロック時代に多く作られた楽曲形式で、宗教的な題材を用い、独唱・合唱・管弦楽で編成され、複数の楽曲で構成される。「メサイア」（救世主）とはイエス・キリストを指し、その生涯が3部作で描かれている。合唱と管弦楽から成る“ハレルヤ・コーラス”は44曲目、第2部の「受難と復活」を締めくくる終曲で、晴れやかに歌い上げられる。海外ではクリスマス時期の定番の曲となっている。
指揮：ミコラ・ジャジューラ
ウクライナ国立チャイコフスキー記念キエフ音楽院で学び、R.コフマンに師事。1986年から88年までロシアのオムスク交響楽団の首席指揮者を務めた。1988年よりウクライナ国立歌劇場の指揮者に就任。2011年に同歌劇場の音楽監督、2013年には首席指揮者となった。同歌劇場のほか1996年よりキエフ国立フィルハーモニー交響楽団の音楽監督も務めている。
管弦楽：ウクライナ国立歌劇場管弦楽団
ウクライナ国立歌劇場管弦楽団は1834年に誕生した歴史あるオーケストラ。芸術の都、キエフを象徴する、タラス・シェフチェンコ記念ウクライナ国立歌劇場のオーケストラとして、オペラ、バレエ公演を支えている。また、オペラ、バレエのほかにも交響曲の演奏にも定評があり、好評を博している。
合唱：晋友会合唱団
関屋 晋を常任指揮者とした合唱団の集合体として活動を開始。現在コーラスマスターは清水敬一が務め、オーケストラとの共演を主たる活動としている。1980年小澤征爾指揮・新日本フィル/マーラーの交響曲第8番《千人の交響曲》共演に際し、晋友会合唱団としてデビュー。ベルリン・フィル、ウィーン・フィル、ウクライナ国立歌劇場管などと共演。レパートリーは古典派・ロマン派から現代作品まで幅広く、国内外から注目を浴びている。
